We’re proud to share that Pineland Farms Dairy has earned 20 cheese awards in 2025—our most successful competition season yet. These honors celebrate the skill of our cheesemakers, the hard work of our farmers, and the unmatched quality of Maine milk in every bite.


Eastern States Exposition

🏅 Big E Cheese Competition: 17 Medals

At the 2025 Big E Cheese Competition, we brought home 17 medals across a wide range of styles. From bold aged cheddars to flavored curds and smoky specialties, here’s how we placed:

The Big E

🥇 Gold

  • Reserve Cheddar (aged over 24 months)

  • Vintage Cheddar (intensely sharp and well-aged)

  • Southwest Cheddar (smooth with a mild chili kick)

  • Smoked Cheddar (hardwood-smoked for depth)

🥈 Silver

the John Davidge Perpetual Trophy

🌍 A Global Win in the UK

We’re especially excited to announce that our Smoked Hot Pepper Cheddar won Gold at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards in the United Kingdom.

Even better—it was awarded the John Davidge Perpetual Trophy for Best Smoked Cheese Overall, selected from more than 5,500 cheeses around the world. This marks the first time Pineland Farms Dairy has earned this level of international recognition.
